My Favorite Hotspots

1. The Puerto Vallarta Malecon

The Puerto Vallarta Malecon is definitely the most popular place. The Malecon is the boardwalk in the downtown area of puerto vallarta. You can Stroll along and enjoy the amazing view of the ocean, the beautiful statues, the bay, and the sunsets that color everything in warm tones of orange and red. You can Enjoy the street artists, the vendors, and if you are feeling tired or hungry, walk into one of the innumerable stores, restaurants and bars. At night the malecon is also a great place to start off a night of fun, many discos and nightclubs are located here to. So visit the Malecon, you can't really say you've experienced and enjoyed Puerto Vallarta without having strolled along it.

2. Isla Rio Cuale (Cuale River Island)

Isla Rio Cuale is another of my favorite hotspots. In the middle of the city you'll find the Cuale River and there is an island between two arms of the river this is Isla Rio Cuale. Isla rio cuale is an scenic place of cobbled passages and thick trees with large iguanas hidden among the branches. Cuale River Island has a central walkway lined with small shop that sell Mexican souvenirs, talavera, silver jewelry, clothes, authentic handcrafts and more. On the island you'll find quite a few good restaurants and cafés. the River Café and Le Bistro Jazz Café are good places to eat here.

3. Marieta Islands

Marieta Islands are some uninhabited islands near puerto vallarta. You can snorkel, whale watch, kayak, swim or just relax on this beautiful island beach. There are many tours for snorkeling and other activities if you want a guide to help you and show you around. There is also an amazing hidden beach on the island, good luck finding it. Maybe if you're lucky one of the locals will tell you how to get there. Over all this is a really unique, fun place.
