SUGGESTIONS FOR WHEN THEY COME

Monday:

meet at the school and have The Doughnut's doughnuts for breakfast and give the visiting students a school tour.- The Doughnut is a local business that sells doughnuts. Why this would be a good place to eat is because they have so many different choices of doughnuts that it's certain they'll have at least one that you would want to try. Doughnuts are delicious.

Then at 12:00 go to the Old Mill for shopping and biking- the old mill has lots of stores where you can buy clothes and stuff. Also the river runs right through the old mill. It is really fun to walk and bike around the old mill.

Eat a late lunch at flatbread pizza at 3:00 which is already right in the old mill. While I was there I heard a lot of them say they like pizza so flatbread would be a great place to get some for them. We could eat lunch then go to float the river.

After biking we can stop at sweet tooth the candy shop in the old mill at around 4:00. They have lots of candy and snacks that we could eat since we would probably be hungry after biking. We can hang out in the old mill a while longer and play at the park and river.

After that everyone could split up and go home to eat dinner and hang out at their house at around 5:30 or 6:00.

Tuesday:

everyone eats at their house or before we meet.

Meet at the school at 9:00 then all drive to the high desert museum. High desert museum- is a great museum to burn daylight and discover a little history about the bend area. Also a great place to look at some of central oregon's wild animals.

Get to the high desert museum at 9:45 or so and walk around and explore there.

Eat lunch at the high desert museum cafe at 1:00.

Stay at the museum for a little longer then drive back to bend at 3:00.

Go straight to el sanchos so they can try american mexican food. get there at around 4:00. order, then food comes around 4:30. eat then head back to the school hang out until 6:00.

Wednesday:

Meet at the school at 9:30 then take a bus to the blue pool

Get to the trail at around 10:15 and hike there.

Arrive at the Blue Pool: It is a amazing place that you have to do a small two mile walk and you get to see the blue pool that is a truly amazing sight just to look at the blue water that you can see the bottom and it’s very cold because its glacier water. Just being there is awesome. Directions from Bend: From McKenzie Bridge, take Highway 126 east 13 miles to Trail Bridge Reservoir. Turn left (west) on Forest Road 732, crossing the McKenzie River. Go straight at the junction, northeast up Forest Road 655 to McKenzie River Trailhead – Tamolitch (Blue Pool). (Note: this trailhead experiences heavy use, particularly during the spring/summer months.)

eat packed lunches at 1:00.

hang out longer and swim till 3:30.

hike back and drive home

Get home around 5:00 and eat at home
